Dunki is a fun-loving and socially relevant entertainer
The film deals with the serious subject of illegal immigration in a highly entertaining manner that makes you laugh out loud throughout the first half and pushes the boundaries with its intense drama and patriotism in the second half.
This is Rajkumar Hirani’s most different film till date as the content is very difficult to deliver but he does it with excellence and finesse.
Shah Rukh Khan as Hardy is awesome.. He shines in both light hearted and emotional scenes. Her monologue inside the court is brilliant and proves to be the major highlight of the film.
Taapseepannu gave her career best performance.. She played her role to perfection.
VickyKaushal cameo SHOW STEALER, his performance in the film will be remembered for a long time.
SRK stars in Dunki and the film presents him in an avatar that we have seen before, in fact, multiple times. As the young clean shaven hero the first girl he meets in Punjab where he comes looking for someone, is affectionate and sweet. But, he gets better in the second half, when the stakes grow and the gang makes their way to London as hard as it gets. Whether crossing the deserts of Iran or the snowy mountains of their next destination, Khan will never fail to charm you. Of course after the action-packed Paat and Jawan earlier this year, Dunki is the complete opposite and in that sense, it’s refreshing to see SRK doing what he does best. Taapsee is very natural as Manu, and her Punjabi genes certainly make her accent and body language more authentic than any other female lead in a Punjabi female role. In emotional scenes, Taapsee shows a firm grip on her character and in funny scenes too, she holds her ground.
